The pictures of the new house and garden!

Since we finally found our camera it has been fun posting new pictures for everyone. Here are a few old ones as well as some newer ones of our property!
This is the before shot of the garden as we were just getting ready to hoe it under and plant it!

Right in the middle! Notice it is starting to look more like a garden without all the weeds there!

The planting!

And the finished product! Now we just have to wait and pull weeds! :)

This is the house the Kev and I are living in now! It was an old farmhouse that was completly remodled. (Finally out in the country!)

The house and garage

These are the steers that Kevin and I are currently raising. There are a few fields on the property that we keep them in.

Kevin getting ready to water the steers!

Michayla Lynn

Here are the latest pictures of Michayla. They are from various different events!

One Rainy Day!

Here are a few pictures from a storm that was going on here at our house. Michayla and I were all dressed up for the day and then it started pouring outside. Well, Michayla had never felt rain, so I decided to see what she would think of it! I took her out in the midst of the pouring rain and she did not know what to think of it. She became very clingy and would kind of stick her tounge out and try to grab the rain. It was exptremly cute!

Our little Michayla!

Alright guys! I must apologize because I can't find our camera! (Which mom that means I was not able to take a picture of her in her fourth of July outfit...when I find it I will put the outfit back on her and pretend it was fourth of July! :) )Therefore, I can't post any recent pictures of us or Michayla! As soon as we find it I want to be able to post some pictures for you all! We went to the Outerbanks, NC for a few days, which we have pictures of and also just random ones from here and there. Hope to show you all soon!

Per Erica's request I will give a little update! The newest big thing is that she is crawling! It is true that I am officially a busy mom with a busy little girl! She has a little play carpet that she use to stay on because she couldn't get around, but now it is a different story. Let me jus tell you that there are times that I find her under the couch (crying of course because she can't get out!), at the bottom of the steps, or just in some random spot on the hardwood. She is definetly a busy little body, but so cute all the time! Seriously all the time...it is hard to start disciplining her because she is so cute!

The other new thing is that she is starting to eat baby cereal and first baby foods. She loves eating food! Cereal has been a little bit of a challenge, but I now started mixing it with some fruit and she loves it. It makes meal times much nicer. My biggest challenge is how to get her to stop waking up in the middle of the night. I am nursing her still two times in the middle of the night. This needs to stop! :) She is getting plenty to sustain her during the day, so how do you get her to stop at night? I have a couple different suggestions from friends that I think that I might start trying.

Anyway, I think that is about it. She is not really talking much. Although the other day I had her on the changing table and I think she just said "MA!" But nothing since that. She has started reaching for me when someone else is holding her, which is really special! We love her a lot! She is seriously tone of fun!

Well I better get going. She is actually not going down for a nap right now, so I am going to go and get her up and see what is going on!

Love you all!

New House and Property

Kevin and I (and Michayla!) are moved into our new house now. There has been a lof of craziness going on in the midst of it, but we are excited to be living here on this beautiful piece of property. I will tell you a little bit about it and hopefully in the next couple of days get some pictures posted. Sorry it has taken me so long, but with the transition our internet has been down. We are up and running now and ready to start updating you all more!

Our new house is set on a 27 acre lot, but we are only renting three acres of it (which is plenty to take care of!). There are two other houses on our property, with a couple of acres between each of the houses. Our house overlooks a little pond and a bunch of trees. It is a four bedroom, two and a half bath with a full basement, that is not finished, but nice. The house was actually an old farm house that the builder who lived in it before remodled. It has a garage that is detached. In the back of the house we have a stone porch with a fire pit, picnic table, our grill and then more trees. On the side of the trees is the infamous garden! Let's tallk about a garden. When Kev and I planted it I did not know what I was getting myself into. WOW~ It is huge now and lots of work. I try and spend at least a half hour a day on it, if not more! It is exciting, but boy a lot of work! :) On the property are a lot of woods (the guy who owns it just bought the land to hunt on). Amongst the woods are trails that we can go walking on. They are a lot of fun to walk on, but hard with a stroller. We carry Michayla a lot when we go walking. Anyway, that is about it. Overall the property is awesome! We love it here and are much more at peace here then in the city. It was time for us to get out of the city and just be able to breathe a little.

Speaking of the city, if you all think about it you can be praying that our house would sell. We had it under agreement and a settlement date set when we moved (otherwise we probably would not have moved!). Then two days before settlement the people backed out. This has been a very frustrating situation for both of us, but at the same time the Lord is continuing to give us peace about it. So, if you think about it, pray that it would sell quickly!

Well, there is much more going on in our lives, but it would take too long to write out. If you want to talk, feel free to call! I am available a lot during the days because Kev is at work. I would love to catch up with you all! Also, PLEASE feel free to come and visit! We have two spare bedrooms (for now...until the next little one comes along!). :) Kev and I love to have people stay with us. Ken and Beth Yoder are actually coming this weekend to hang out with us for a bit! We are totally pumped about that! Anyway...I love you all and look forward to hearing from you! :)
