Ocean City, New Jersey

We spent the weekend in Ocean City, NJ. The city was founded by Methodist ministers who had a vision for a christian community that would be untainted by the world. They chose this spot because of the seperation from the mainland and the natural beauty that surrounds it.

One of our goals for this weekend was to build relationships with friends and spouses without the everyday distractions that come from work, children, etc. It was a great weekend of talking, eating, laughing and enjoying friends.
I heard a song today that captured some of the things the Lord was doing in my heart as I watched the power and beauty of the ocean.
I hope you never loose your sense of wonder. You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger. May you never take one single breath for granted. God forbid love'll ever leave you emty-handed. I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean. Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens.
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance. And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance... I hope you dance, I hope you dance I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance. Never settle for the path with least resistance. Livin' lively takin' chances, they're worth takin' Loving might be a mistake but it's worth makin Don't let some healthin' heart leave you bitter. When you come close to coming out reconsider. Give the heavens above more that just a passing glance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance... I hope you dance.

What a wonderful Mother's Day!

This Mother's was one special day and one to be remembered for sure! Kevin started the day out by making me breakfast when we woke up. He had a little present for me at the breakfast table. I opened it and sure enough it was a necklace and bracelet set! So beautiful! After breakfast we were assuming that Michayla would wake up, but instead she decided to give me a little mother's day present herself. She slept in until 9:30! I couldn't beleive it. So, Kev and I just relaxed and I took a long shower and got ready for the day. While I was getting ready, Kev packed a picnic lunch for us. After M woke up and we got her breakfast we headed out for the day. We drove up to Chickies Rock to go for a hike. Michayla loves to "hike" with us. She stops and smells every flower along the way and puts every rock in her mouth. Quite humorous for sure! We made it to Chickies Rock and back and then went to find a spot to eat our lunch. We found a little pavilion with picnic tables. Lunch was wonderful! After lunch we headed home and all took naps for the afternoon. What a wonderful, relaxing and memorable day!

Van, Kids and a general update!

I am so inspired to post on my blog. I had some time while M was taking a nap and so I decided to check out other blogs. Everyone is doing well at keeping it up for sure!

Many of you know that back in March Kevin and I purchased a new van from Hershey Motors in Parkesburg. We test drove an '02 Town and Country and loved it. We knew we were going to need a better vehicle with #2 on the way, and so we decided to go for it. Well, to make a very long story short (you can ask me details later), and after many trips back and forth to the dealer trying to get the van fixed, we ended up trading that van in for a better Town and Country. We now are owners of an '05 Chrysler Town and Country and loving it. No problems with it at this point like the other van. It is my little pride and joy for sure! I will post pictures soon!

Baby number 2 is well on the way. I am now 25 weeks along. Only 15 weeks to go! Yeah! We are so excited to meet the little guy that is inside of me. We do have a name picked out for him, but you will have to wait until he is here to find out. :) I am really feeling great! Still active, even more so because of Michayla. She keeps me busy busy busy! She seriously just gets cuter and cuter as time goes on. Her favorite words are Up, Bath, Baba (bottle), and ball. Those are just a few of them. The other day she started pulling on her jacket while we were out and saying "Hot, hot, mama, hot!" It was such a good feeling to know that she is really learning to communicate when she wants something.

I have been doing MUCH yardsaleing lately and have a lot of baby boy clothes. I really need to get them organized to see what I need now. We also have the crib for the little guy. We got a really good deal on one through the newspaper. Now, all we need is a double stroller. I would love to get a double jogger, because I think it would be a lot of fun to take them jogging with me when I am ready to start that again. We will see what we end up getting though!

We are still loving the house that we are living in out in the country. We have been planting flowers, mulching the flower beds and we just recently planted the garden! Yeah, I am so excited to have a garden again. I decided to scale it down A LOT from last year due to the baby on the way. I can't do everything right?! I only planted green beans, potatoes, tomatoes, green pepper, one bannana pepper plant and Kevin's request: watermelon. We will see how it does this year. Last year the garden did really well, so I am hoping for the same results.

Well, that is all for now. I hope to post more pictures soon because sometimes pictures say way more than words. I would love to get better at using the camera! :)
